Disclaimer

Even though many customers report an immediate freedom from pain, it may take a while ridding your tennis elbow / golfer’s elbow completely and of course it is also possible that the Masalo Cuff may not have the desired effect in your personal case. An epicondylitis is a serious medical issue and medical matters are always individual. The healing progress is dependant on many factors and differs for each patient. Therefore and for legal reasons we cannot and will not provide a healing guaranty. Some reviews have been translated from German.
We wish you a rapid recovery!

Now weight training is fun again

10. April 2020

I have been doing weight training for 5 years, and at some point I got pain in my right hand, it turned out to be the infamous tennis elbow!

I didn’t think anything of it, just trained again until the pain was no longer bearable!

I tried everything with gels, massages, cooling, warm bandages etc. Everything didn’t work!

None of it worked!

It went on like this for about 7 months, and I slowly began to despair, until I came across Masalo Manschete in February 2020.

I also bought it, at the beginning I was dissatisfied because the effect was not immediate.

But then around the beginning of April 2020 improvement in sight, now I can at least train pain free and continue to do sports! “I will still wear them during sports to be on the safe side! Thank you

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Lueger, thank you very much for your report. I am glad that it is working now. If there are problems again, it might be good if you send us a few photos of your arm with the bandage on, or better still, use the contact form (under Customer Service, last point => Contact, then => How can we help you? > Question about the fit of the cuff…) upload the pictures briefly with a few lines. The cuff must help noticeably right away, otherwise there is usually something wrong and these are almost always small things that can be quickly fixed with a few optimisations. It is important that the forearm cuff sits in the middle of the forearm and not on the elbow and that the support builds up sufficient tension during movement. It is better to tighten it a little, especially in the beginning. Please continue to wear the brace during sports for a while so that the problem does not come back. Weight training is very hard on the tendons and protection is really advisable. I am glad that you can do sports again. That is especially important in these times. We are always happy to help you. Have a good recovery and stay healthy. Kind regards Harry Röder

What lasts slowly, lasts well

1. April 2020

I had been struggling with epicondylitis since July 2019. At first I started with the usual measures – rest and Voltaren ointment. This was followed by cortisone injections. However, after 4 weeks, the pain flared up again vehemently. That was the moment when, after 6 weeks of osteopathic treatment, I discovered the Masalo cuff at the beginning of December.

You can’t expect a miracle with severe epicondylitis, you have to have a lot of patience and also learn to accept fluctuations in the healing process.

At first, I wore the cuff virtually day and night for 2 months. Only very slowly did I also have better days. At the same time, I continued my treatment with shoulder-neck massage, stretching exercises and other exercises that I found on YouTube tutorials.

It wasn’t until the third month that I started to stop wearing the cuff at night. First attempts to leave it off during the day failed at first. Most of the time I had to put it back on after 1-2 days.

After 4 months, I have finally been able to do without the cuff for 10 days and can even slowly start playing the piano again.

In the first few days, after I considered my elbow to be mostly joke-free, I still had pain in the sheath. But with continued stretching exercises and light, though often painful, massage with a small fascia roller, this pain is also subsiding more and more.

9 months after the onset of my epicondylitis, I can say that I am as good as cured, thanks to the Masalo cuff. Even though I often despaired in the meantime and doubted whether it would lead to a good end for me, I can now say: yes, it has worked the miracle that I almost could not believe in.

Thank you!

Corneli

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello, thank you very much for the detailed report. Since we are always asked whether you are cured straight away, your report will certainly help many of those affected. It takes time until you are really healthy again and it needs patience and stamina. Tendon problems are generally quite protracted because tendons only have a few blood vessels and that prolongs the healing process. But in the end it works out 🙂 Yes, it is true that the healing process is never linear, but has ups and downs depending on various factors. In addition, golfer’s arms are often more protracted than tennis arms. We sufferers are all quite similar. We like to be active and don’t necessarily have a lot of patience 🙂 I can only advise everyone to contact us right at the beginning with a few photos. What we often notice when things are going slowly is that the cuff is worn too loosely or the forearm cuff is too close to the elbow. If we can have a quick look at it, it usually helps a lot. However, I do not want to imply that you have not put the cuff on correctly, the period of time until recovery is not unusual at all. Please keep the cuff within reach at all times. Unfortunately, it can always happen that you overdo it and the epicondylitis wants to come back. If you notice something like this, please put the cuff back on right away and the problem should then be resolved within 2-3 days at the most. (If you notice it right away and do something about it right away, it cannot develop into a chronic problem. You are now sensitised and would notice immediately if it happens again). Thank you again for your lines, we wish you all the best and stay healthy. Best regards Harry Röder

Super cuff. After putting it on, my arm was pain-free after three hours. I also wore it at night. After one and a half weeks the pain was much less without the cuff. I am on the road to recovery. Sport is possible with the cuff.

Innerhalb vier Wochen fast schmerzfrei

23. March 2020

Alexander Bux

Response from Masalo.co.uk

At last pain free!

19. March 2020

I was very skeptical as I have tried everything, tubigrip, tablets, creams. I felt relief within the hour I put it on. Sleeping used to be the worst time, I would get comfy then a couple of hours later I would wake in pain. I sleep with this on and sleep through the night! I have had tennis elbow for so long I can’t remember when it started! I am now pain free, I have started taking it off whilst doing lighter tasks. When it starts to niggle on it goes. I have had so much relief from this I am forever grateful!!
